To all Idaho members of PNCWA, Nominations from the Northern Idaho Operators Section for the next Idaho Regional Director of PNCWA have concluded. Rodney Cook, City of Moscow has been nominated and confirmed as a candidate for the next Regional Director. A vote from all Idaho PNCWA members in good standing has been requested, approving Rodney Cook as Idaho Regional Director Elect of PNCWA. If approved, Rodney would become Idaho Regional Director at the 2012 PNCWA Annual Conference in Boise and his term would extend for 3 years. Write in candidates will not be accepted due to need of confirming employer support of this position. Voting will conclude on Dec 30, 2011. Rodney Cook's background: "I started in the Water and Wastewater field on December 2, 1991 working for the City of Juliaetta . They had 9 wells and 2 springs and were gearing up to build a surface water treatment plant to draw water out of the Potlatch River. They had an Extended Air Activated Sludge plant, wasting was done to four sand beds for sludge removal. On top of the wastewater system I was responsible for streets, parks, right of way maintenance, equipment repair, facility maintenance, meter reading and replacement, dog catching, water and sewer line replacement. In short a jack of all trades (the definition of an operator). While there, we (the systems) received the most improved water system (from Idaho Rural Water Association) and Operation and Maintenance excellence award from EPA. |
