Shape the Future of PNCWA Through Experienced and Accomplished Leadership -The PNCWA mission is preserving and enhancing water resources in the states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington. To achieve this, we promote the professional development of our members, the dissemination of information to the public and policy makers, and the advancement of science and technology needed to protect public health and the environment.

PNCWA advances its mission through accomplished leadership by dedicated PNCWA members who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the water environment profession. This mission is executed through the dedication and active involvement of PNCWA members. We encourage you to join PNCWA leadership in advancing our mission and vision by nominating PNCWA members who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the water environment profession, for PNCWA leadership positions.

To successfully continue on our path, PNCWA requires the leadership of dedicated and exceptional volunteers who are committed to moving our goals forward, consistent with our Strategic Plan!  PNCWA Officers are responsible to promote the PNCWA Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals, support and advocate PNCWA policies, positions and programs, raise awareness of priorities of the water environment profession, and serve as a representative of PNCWA to PNCWA members and Sections, the public, government agencies, policy makers, and water environment leaders throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The PNCWA Nominating Committee invites you to consider nominating an individual for the positions of PNCWA Vice President and of PNCWA Secretary.

The Board of Directors is comprised of the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Past President, two WEF Delegates, and four Regional Directors. The PNCWA Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for the positions of Vice President and  Secretary. The Presidential rotation is a four-year commitment beginning with Vice President, and all officers must be WEF members. The Secretary is a two-year term with the possibility of renewing.

PNCWA Vice President: PNCWA strives for representation of Idaho, Oregon and Washington by rotating the Vice President nomination by state and will select from Idaho in 2018 if possible. To qualify, a nominee must have documented evidence of professional experience and capabilities including:

Significant career accomplishments
Professional experience and credibility
Leadership knowledge and experience (PNCWA, Committee or Section, etc.)
Visionary planner, motivator, consensus builder, and communicator
Knowledge of the PNCWA organization and governance

PNCWA Secretary: The PNCWA Secretary serves a two-year term on the PNCWA Board with the possibility of renewal. (To qualify, a nominee must have documented evidence of professional experience and capabilities including:

Significant career accomplishments
Professional experience and credibility
Knowledge of the PNCWA organization and governance
Proven consensus builder and communicator

Nominations

PNCWA members may nominate qualified WEF members for the PNCWA Vice President and PNCWA Secretary positions. Nominees must be a WEF member in good standing and must have signified willingness to serve. WEF members may self-nominate.

Nominating letters (1 page minimum, 2 pages maximum) addressing the nominee’s qualifications, and including the nominee's contact information, should be sent as an attachment to John Phillips, PNCWA Past President and Chair of the Nominating Committee at [email protected] by Aug 3, 2018.
