Communication and Outreach Committee

The Communication and Outreach Committee (COC) develops and supports internal and external communication, K-12 student education, and public outreach directed at PNCWA members, educators, students, the general public, media, and other water resource stakeholders for effective engagement in water environment activities and issues.

Our committee includes operators, engineers, and other water professionals working in education, community relations, and public involvement. Every water professional needs to communicate, and our committee can help you use and develop those skills. Our key activities include an annual Public Communications Camp, coordination of the U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize and Adopt-a-School grant programs, attendance at local science teacher conferences, and phased implementation of the Strategic Communications Recommendations.

Get Involved

By joining our committee you help support our array of ongoing activities! Programs like the Adopt-a-School grant and Stockholm Junior Water Prize judging require very little time on an annual basis, but they are very rewarding because they allow us to interact directly with the next generation of water professionals. We need your help to plan our webinars, workshops, specialty conferences, and more. Check out our latest news and events or join today!
