Water for People Committee

The Water For People Committee raises awareness of and funds for PNCWA's official charity organization, Water For People, whose mission is to promote the development of high-quality drinking water services that are accessible to everyone and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments. The Water For People Committee organizes activities at the PNCWA Annual Conference and throughout the year to raise funds for Water For People in support of their mission.

Our committee always strives to plan bigger and better events and we need your help! Some of the events we've planned in the past include the Water For People 5k Fun Run in Boise, the Pedal For People bike tour in Portland, participated in the World Water Classic 6k/60k, as well as smaller, local events in collaborations with the Students and Young Professionals Committee and AWWA.

We hold conference calls once a month to coordinate upcoming efforts.

Get Involved

The Water For People Committee is unique among the PNCWA Committees, in that it is responsible for fundraising for an outside charity. This means organizing and participating in fun and engaging events that bring together PNCWA and community members to learn about and donate to a worthy cause. This committee is a great way to expand your network and collaborate with other committees and the PNCWA board. Members also work closely with the Water For People organization and see the impact their efforts are having on communities around the world. Check out our latest news and events here or join today!
